8TH GRADE PROMOTION LETTER
Dear 8th grade parents/guardians,
Our 8th grade class will be promoting on Thursday, June 4th. This ceremony will be held in the evening on the west playfield, next to our science building. The students need to report to the gym by 6:30 p.m. The promotion will begin at 7:00 p.m., and end at approximately 8:30 p.m.
Promotional certificate portfolios will be distributed in the library, immediately following the ceremony. These portfolios include the promotion photographs and certificates, and will be given to students only.
Students will not be allowed to participate in the promotional ceremony if the student has not met the promotional requirements of earning 50 credits. Students who are suspended in the last 45 days of the school year will not be able to participate. If your child will not be promoting, you will be notified by the beginning of the last week of school by our counseling staff.
On June 2nd and 3rd, prepaid yearbooks will be distributed after school from 2:50 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the MPR. Please remind students to write their names in their yearbooks. On June 3rd, if there are extra yearbooks they will be sold in the student store, in person only, from 2:48 to 3:30 PM for $55.00. These will be sold first come, first served, basis. We will not accept credit cards used by students. Parents will need to come in and purchase the yearbook if paying with a card. If paying with cash, please have exact change.

Friday, June 5th, is the last day of school. It is also a minimum day. 8th graders are encouraged to attend.
